We received another anonymous phone call this week. Somewhere in Kentucky….Bonnieville? I am going to need these clean-ups to start taking place in more thrilling locations because small towns are not conducive to cover stories. Everyone seems to know each other, but this week was especially hard. Martha Burtis was the victim -- a prominent member of the Digital Knowledge World, her death was going to be difficult to twist...

“The Digital Knowledge world lost a fantastic contributor this week. Martha Burtis was a strong voice and influence within the community of DS106. Unfortunately, she also made a lot of enemies with her domineering and occasionally hostile attitude. It isn’t her fault she just wanted people to get there work done.

If anyone is familiar with the DS106 Community, it consists of Burtis, Bond, and Groom. Well Paul Bond has been a relatively quiet member, but it seems he had, had enough of Burtis’ attitude. With a reference to Hitchcock, Bond strangled Burtis and proceeded to stuff her in a chest. He has been arrested and charged for his crimes. How very Noir.

There was a witness that saw Bond leaving Burtis’ apartment on the night in question and he seemed to leave his fedora as the solidifying evidence. Bond refused to plead guilty but the stacks of evidence will have him sent away 4life.”

Since there was no way to make Burtis magically disappear, I unfortunately had to reveal the “truth” about her death. We found a homeless man outside of Burtis’ place of residence, and we took him, cleaned him up, and gave him a new identity to ensure his testimony was believed. We provided him with a new life far away from the scene and had Billy instill some fear into him if he ever attempted to return. We also had Jack break into Bond’s apartment to extract a real fedora to plant as evidence. Sorry not sorry, Bond.
